Maybe, just maybe

You’re leaving at the first light of dawn,
And a part of me is dying.
Tomorrow you begin your journey
Which leads you further away from me.

I need to hear your voice
One more time before you go.
Maybe, just maybe
I will tell you what I’m
Dying to say.

Would that make a world of difference?
Would it be enough to lead you to me?
Come east instead of north.

Maybe, just maybe
I can be holding you this weekend
Instead of hanging on to the memories
Of the last one.

Maybe, just maybe
I won’t choke when the time comes.
Will I find the strength to say it?
Maybe, just maybe.

I told him. I did it. It took two phone calls but I did do it. Whew! I feel so much better now. Did it help? Is he coming to me? Maybe, just maybe...

Good job and good news Tara. And maybe just maybe, you will smile again!

Thanks, Isis. I'm not smiling now. Colorado is just too far away from South Carolina! I hate geography!
