Some days are just a nexus for catastrophe
Others are as relaxing as a day on the beach
Difficulties and solutions intermix
A screwdriver of epic proportions
Drink too much and the hammer slams down
Not enough and you never feel the bite
Some people live their life cautiously
Like angels in the clouds on an autumnís eve
Floating by life in their fancy cars and suits
Armani, Mercedes, BMW, and all that glitz
High and mighty, snobbish attire, delusions of grandeur
Some just seem to fall that way
Others though don't have the clouds to float on
Carried by the wind this way and that
Never able to master their fate or rise to those clouds
The ones that they so desperately wish to attain
The ones that make them feel safe when safety doesn't exist
Tortured by the winds in the sky
Pushed violently as they try to hold on to the things they have
And still they gain more in this eternal conflict
Like lead weights on a sinking ship
It only speeds up the inevitable
And then there are those who live like the ground
Constantly eaten by the wind and the water
Destroyed in a slow motion while they watch with growing frustration
All the things they worked hard to attain are taken before their eyes
As the hungry waters smile with glee at the disruption they cause
Unable to protect; unable to defend
The land will surely die as the waters eat away the underlying humanity
Then there is the water
Those who destroy anything that someone else has
They feel like everyoneís against them
As they watch the destruction they cause with perverse ideals of justice
Sweeping away the solidified area of contentment that we have so furtively held
As the watery being foams at itís gapping maw consuming everything within its purview
With only time,
That immortal sun that burns repetitively in the sky
To tame the horrid beast within each of our fragile selves

Thankyou for the read but I think you missed one place. The place where the feet are firmly on the ground and that ground is solid. there is a place such as this and you have to search long and hard to find it. It doesn't live in greed or selfishness, pain or suffering. It lives deep with us. Once we find that place the things of life that happen create waves but never destroy. I believe in this place but am sad to say am still searching for it. I know it exists simple because I have found stepping stones to guide me there.

Soooooooo enough of this babble...

I see your point. I concede that I have forgotten this place. perhaps it is in the stars? beyond the sky, beyond the winds on earth and the waters that tear us apart. but if it is, then what is the solar wind? the essence of randomness? perhaps. I could continue on and on over this for ages, and it would be interesting and correct, yet where would it end? perhaps it could be of such great length to be compared to Milton's classic epic "Paradise Lost". it is conceivible, yet I feel that such an epic here and now would be missed. but thanks for the input. to be honest I had overlooked it entirely.
