Mom, there comes a time in life,
for expressing gratitude,
for teaching me so many things,
from love to fortitude.

Showing me how to recover
from the darkness and the pain,
to stand up again even when I failed,
and make sunshine from the rain.

There comes a time to tell you,
what a good teacher you have been,
never to quit when things are down,
but to always hold up my chin.

What a strong and sensitive person,
you must surely be,
mother you must always know,
how important you are to me.

And if you ever have stormy days,
I can bring strength to,
always remember your little girl,
has so much faith in you!

Echo girl

This is an uplifting poem. It is so good to see you thinking positive thoughts and to see you realizing how much you have and how important you are for uplifting your loved ones. Welcome home, little one.

You've done your Mom proud, Echo.
Lovely Tribute, and I'm sure she already knows..

What a lovely poem, I am sitting here with
tears in my eyes, I truely know what your
saying here, I have a mom that is the same
way. I am sure she will love it!!!

I am very happy to see you back, and in good
spirits, I would have given ya a formal
welcome home, but the cake wouldn't fit
in the slot in the computer, actually my
computer blew a gasket, and it was down for
several days.

Pink Roses for ya, great to have ya back!!!!

LngJhnAg...Thank you for the welcome home and the kind comments on this poem. Like I siad before, I just hope my mom likes it.

Isis...I hope I have done her proud, but I know I have caused her a lot more other things than proudness.

Richard 33...*hands him a tissue* Thank you, and dont worry about not being able to give a formal welcome, I dont need one, but thank you anyways!

WhtDove...I hope she loves it as much as you say!

Marilyn... I hope these are the words my mom wants to hear as well.

Echo, I think any mother would be proud to hear these words from their child. Often in life the words, the expressions of gratitude and love are given far too late, I'm glad you've had a chance to express them early and I think it can only strengthen the bond between you and your mother. Very heartfelt and beautiful.
