I've captured words before
re-birthed the life of them
transfigured the shapes of image
crafted for all mood
and now:
No metaphor exists
compare you I cannot
lacking in all power
this tongue of mine
no creation strong enough
to etch the form of you
I need new language
a lexicon not yet born
words only of the soul-speak
weak sounds not needed
mute letters denied
those constructs of understanding
useless in the frozen
stretches of my mind
The world's alphabets so used
lacking ever in depiction
Deserver of such freshness
such invention:
from the heart of me
that place alone where
you exist
I can offer only these,
mere shadowed surfaces
of dearest expression
my failure to create
the burning light
I love in you

Ah my dear, but once again you are wrong.
There is a comparison, and a single word to sum me up.

You.

I marvel at the visual purity of the words you have chosen here K. Each line seems to bear the weight of a thousand.
<--- for you

But Chris - how can you compare two things the same? The weight of a million (I win...), yes, a weight indeed.

Isis, thanks! - but at least you don't have to miss him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Severn,
Words are but one tool in your box of tools.
