Teach me how to live without the touch of my lovers hand.
Give me strength to accept things that I don’t understand.
Show me how to keep the faith that falters day and night.
Help me to keep my goals and dreams forever in my sight.

Time will work against me this I’ve come to realize.
Tears that well and overflow, reflect the pain within my eyes.
Though I will try to keep my path forever straight and true.
I can only hope that it will lead me right to you.

I’ve always tried to live my life the best that I know how.
But looking back I realize how wrong it was till now.
I am but a sinner Lord, help me to overcome.
Help me change my habits so that I won’t die as one.

I will keep my faith in God forever true and steady.
I am waiting here for you whenever you are ready.
I’ll try not to question the decisions that you make.
Each night before I go to sleep I’ll pray my soul you take.

Powerful words Lucie. Well written. I also try to stay true to him and myself. Not always and easy task.

My faith resides far from any organized religion, but this was well said. I'm sure your words will not go unheeded. (Don't think however that you are saved from my future rath ) Be well!
