wishing to believe
in a childhood faith
crying to angels
hoping they will hear
banishing the memory
of distant transgressions
stretching long fingers
for some human touch
one simple prayer
to diminish loneliness

I often think it would be wonderful to look at life with the innocence and faith of a child, to have never known that life isn't wonderful sometimes....nicely stated in this piece
