A Parting Gift

(Not too sure what its all about dont worry its all explained below)

She rides through clouds all bruised
To fall angelically-
But not from grace
Each flap did gulp a stormy breath
Now down to a blackened face.

….

I wait,
I am the spirit,
Trapped as I am
In this colourless Prism
Sadly, It is my fate,
But what grace is this?
A slap, a ripple
To adorn my blackened face;
I beg she stay
I move
See
I touch every shore
Of what
To who do you wait for?
She loves me
She loves me not,
Stay, stay a while
Don’t don’t go,
See, see my face
I look at you
I am this timeless place,
I beg, see look,
I beg for more
Watch
A ripple, first one, then two now four,
She loves me
She loves me not
You slap again, a ripple, but so few
You go…
I’ll wait for you…

….

(The storm abated she rides again, now high in a clearing sky…)

A feather descends from her quilted radiance
To touch the place with out a face
A signature of remembrance, strange
Like the others
To sink without a trace…

She loves me…

To those who are not too sure as to what is happening: A swan having flown through a storm flies down to rest on a lake (inhabited by a spirit) her feathers ruffled by the storm drop one by one into abyss. Unknowingly she feeds the spirit some hope. She loves me, she loves me not, the spirit he counts each single feather dropped. Has he been released?

An operatic ballet. Simply masterful.
