I read my life in green grass and see my dandelion children play where promises grow in the brown eyes of sunflowers. Mother fed me gold first star wishes as Dad looked down pretending not to notice how I grew. I lived behind my face dreaming green dreams or in the mirror reflecting back the question, tendrils climbing into half formed answers. I rubbed into my image with flowers a stamen, pistil, stem, then turned to see my shadow on the wall grow dim trying to be grace, turned again to find the question searching out my face, and all the while the grass greenly played me in a poem. The poem lies with me now in the green grass, partaking of spring’s conversations, listening to the sky’s comments, looking under rocks and in windows, summing up a sigh, telling and retelling a smile. It sang into a self the mirror’s image. |

I did find another one that needs to be draped in Passions sunrise for this poem reflects as beautifully as a sunrise on a summer day. |
