Seperated by Friendship We are two broken hearts looking for each other, but we both know we wouldn't last. We are two lonely souls looking for our mate, but we both know we aren't meant to be. We are two lonesome set of eyes looking for a simple gaze, but we both know we are blinded by reality. We are two forsaken bodies looking for passion, but we both know we cannot connect. We are two forgotten sets of lips looking for an eternal kiss, but we both know we shouldn't partake in the act. We are two best friends looking for love, but we both know we should not turn to each other. |

Lynn ....very beautifully written piece which I enjoyed reading. I did marry my bestfriend and our reality is 15 years and going strong...I find our friendship to be one of the most important equations in our union ------------------ May your days be filled with lots of sunshine and your nights lit up by golden moonbeams |

Oh, I love the feel of this poem. You have summed up true friendship very nicely. I was never under the pretense that men and women can't be just friends. Some of my nearest and dearest friends are men ------------------ It is better to be silent and be considered a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. |

Thank you for your comments. Hoot....99% of my friends are males. I've always seem to get along with them better. I have one male friend in particular that I adore so dear as a friend. He has always been there with me through the good times and the bad. One time we came very close to getting together, but we decided that we didn't want to take that chance, and perhapse have it hurt our friendship. But, Thanx so much for your comment.  |
