DESTINY

I kiss you goodnight, every night.
I hold you in my dreams.
Beauty's angel, dancing in white,
As all of Heaven gleams.

Your voice sings soft, a lullaby.
Cradled in song, I sleep.
Slowly whisked away, by and by,
You are my hope to keep.

I face the world alone by day...
All thought lingers to you.
Your smile, your touch, your every way
Of giving love so true.

I share the gifts you've given me,
Emotion, voice, and heart.
But I will never completely -
Be whole while we're apart.

We're kindred souls, each other's half,
This we will always be.
Fate tonight may keep me from your laugh,
But not your Destiny.

Michael Anderson

I could not love except where Death
Was mingling his with Beauty's breath -
Or Hymen, Time, and Destiny
Were stalking between her and me.

How beautiful you express your love and how your soul opens and reflects your heart...How sweet to be loved and admired just once in this lifetime...a dream come true , To have held TRUE love once inside your heart! I wished my name was destiny!

You have lived life deeply as well as compassionatly and that IS the only way to live it completely. You may not have what you want, but you still "HAVE" it! Very nice.

you have a very lucky lady.
I know the way to my heart is certainly through the written word!

Michael...stock in Kleenex is going up again. Suggest you buy some of it and keep writing these. You'll never have financial worries!
The entire piece is lovely, and the second stanza is beyond excellence...

Geez, MIchael, after reading all your love poems, if she doesn't come around, I'm sure some of the others here will, including Toerag.

'Deer: Toerag's never far from the ladies, and Michael's poetry will certainly have the ladies coming round. *G* But I think Michael's interested in only one... unlike you trying to keep your whole flock happy. *G*

Beautiful poem, Michael!!

I think I know now what happened...when I came back online that day...after 10 long days away...I read all of these, but I was in such a hurry to let you know that I was back...I skimmed over them, and forgot to reply!! I am so glad I came back to read them now that I have time to enjoy them! You sure wrote some beautiful stuff while I was away...am so glad to be back in your life. Love you....Gen
