Open Mind

Who are you the judge and jury,
to close your mind to one in need?
Your arrogance spawns my fury,
so listen to my words, take heed.

Don't speak from a prejudiced heart,
just look past the end of your nose.
Don't decree when taking no part,
try it once before you oppose.

Avoid misinterpretation.,
Open your ears, hear all that's said.
A little communication,
so not to feel you've been misled.

But above all open your mind,
for without that all is soon lost.
‘Cause you never know what you'll find,
if you're willing to bear the cost.

So I ask you kindly relent,
if not you're the one who will pay.
If for this a friendship is rent,
I mock your morality play.

Indeed! A closed mind is a curse to all who encounter it.

Very well said Chris...your words speak truth

Thank you everybody, and I wish more people would agree!

I feel vindicated!!!!!
Wow, this is great. It is tantamount to arrogance isn't it? (And, I'm sure I've said it before, but can you just float over here on that damn parachute!!!!!????)
