I'm just a quiescent young girl
thought I had nothing to lose
so I popped 200 pills
and chased them down with some booze.

Then I took out my blade
and slashed both of my wrists
not once through it all
did I think I'd be missed.

I slipped into a coma
they said I almost died
they put me in a mental home
for attempting suicide.

My best friend came to see me
he brought a great surprise
the poems, the notes, the thoughts from here
and the love that passed by my eyes.

My feeble attempt to end my life
and love from all of you
has finally made me see things
and I now know what to do.

I'm gonna live my life out
till the good Lord says it's through
for now I have strength and reason to live
with the friends I've found in you.

Sometimes thank you isn't enough
to show you that I see
so how can I say thank you
for all the hope you've given me??

Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful support and friendship I have found in all of you! I can never express how much it means to me!

Echo

WELCOME BACK ECHO!!! We missed you!!! So glad to see that you are still writing as strong as ever. You hang in there girl and don't let the bastards win. You are a ray of sunshine in a sometimes dreary world. The Lord has plans for you I'm sure so ask Him what they are and GO FOR IT!!! Glad you're back!!

Echo: By living your life the best way you can, by seeking help when you feel down and alone, by relying on friends for support and comfort and by showing those same friends the trust and care that they show in you...

It's not easy sweetheart and life can be the pits, but, amongst all of us here, I imagine we've sampled the best and the worst that life can throw at us, take advantage of it and call on us...

HUGS...Glad to see you back and in one piece!

I am soooooo glad the Lord had His hands on you and that you now realize how precious and wonderful life can be. I have been praying for you.... every day.... since I heard about your attempted suicide. Suicide is never the answer.

God made you a special person and you have a lot to give with your powerful and exceptional talent in writing verse. Please, please, take care of yourself and don't ever consider this kind of thing again.

It is clear you have a loving family and I'm sure you have friends at home... just like you've made at this home away from home... Passions of Poetry.

I'll keep praying for you! Welcome back, my friend. If you feel you can't be strong, just remember, God can give you strength and so can those who love you.

Welcome Back Echo..:..
So glad you are ok now. Your poem says you've got the right idea now. And with the friends you have here, you are never alone or unloved. Let the Lord keep you, and all these past days will be but a memory..

The Lord took you in his caring hands
to protect you from intended harm.
He knew that you were needed here
so he came to answer the alarm.
The prayers he heard were many
for we all were here for you
asking him to bring you back
for you are loved by many
even some that you don't know
so take each day as we all will
to be thankful for the gift
God gave us with the presense of you.

The world seemed a little bit sadder the day we got the word of what you'd done. I can't tell you how glad we all are that you are back. There are too few poets out there to lose one. If you ever need to talk, let me know..send me an e-mail or catch me on ICQ! Take care of yourself.

You were a bit confused
Misguided, felt alone
Didn't realize this was a place
You finally could call home
You left us for a little while
Long enough to see
Even though you felt alone
You didn't have to be
Lucky for us all right here
That's not where your story ends
You've returned to the fold
And now your amoung friends

Echo.....welcome back, as long as you are here, you always have support and friends

We're glad to have you back Echo! Life is hard, but suicide isn't the way. But all too often its the answer many of us turn to or consider..many of us here have been there. Remember that we are all forever your friends and that we'll do anything for you. My prayers and best wishes are with you.

Echo....although I don't know you personally, I love your poetry and though you may or may not believe it, I felt as sad hearing what you did as I would one of the friends I have around here in person ......and it's shocking that you wanted to die so badly you did all that. If you ever need someone to talk to, e-mail me, or message me on icq.

So glad your back...and I hope you can find happiness, if not that, hope.

There are very few times when I can tell someone I'm sincerely glad their plans didn't work out... this is one of those times! *S* Welcome back, Echo... I'm glad your body is healing and hope your heart will, too.

Echo

When times are at their darkest, remember, these times shall pass. When you are at your happiest, also remember, these times too shall pass. Life is filled with ups and downs, but they all pass one by one. And in the middle of all these passages you CAN find peace by realizing there will be darker days, but they will pass with your permission. Do not forget them, however, because they provide you the strength you need to weather the next storm. Welcome home, little one.
