legend says that long ago
all people had two heads
and four legs until the gods
threw down lighting bolts
splitting the people
they then had two legs and one head
only it left htem with half a soul
leaving them yearning for the other half
now we search our entire lives hoping
that one day to find the other half
i have stopped my searching
for i believe that the other half
of my soul lies deep within
the body of a beautiful woman
a woman with eyes of the gods
and the heart of a giant
never before have i felt
as whole a i do in her arms
i pray that the gods never again
decide to throw down their lighing bolts
because without her
i'd never be the same again
