Okay, so I've gotta guilty conscience,
Which I guess shocks most of you,
Many think I don't have one at all,
But yep, I really do.

Being serious again, which is not my better stuff,
And taking into consideration, my other stuff's bad enough!
But I'd like to take a moment,
To make something perfectly clear,
I've nothing but the highest regards
For the Poet Balladeer.

I doubt that there are many,
Folks with such expertise,
In fact I don't know any,
He's one talented S.O.B.

As you know I like to tease,
And he's such a desirable target,
I Guess because I know that he,
Will respond to me the "hardest"

So let it be known to all of you,
that this is the only reason,
Cuz truly I think that he's the best,
And I love Toe-"Raggin" and teasin' him.

(The preceding is a paid advertisement from Balladeer's Pest Control Inc.)....Not really, but I had to say something yanno.....

All right! *G* Thanks for re-posting it, Toe!! I certainly enjoyed the brief glimpse I got of it earlier! *G*

I'd noticed that some people seem to be taking the poetic war seriously... (encouraged, of course, by the Great Man himself calling us evil! LOL) Your poem is a wonderful reminder that it's all done in good fun...

You and Balladeer are both remarkable in my eyes... to take whatever abuse is dished out and respond with more fun instead of hurt feelings takes pretty special, big-hearted men... And don't tell him I said this (cuz of course, he won't read this poem per the title's instructions *G*) but your combined talent for smile-giving is every bit as much appreciated as your immense poetic talents!

Well done! And ROFLMAO @ Paid Advertisement!!!!!

what a wonderful tribute to your good friend, Toerag......I know he will really treasure this.......
I hope you did not think that I took your "war of words" seriously, as all along I knew exactly what it is pure fun and enjoyment between two people with the utmost respect and liking for one another......I was just trying to get in the fun.....guess I did not express myself right....sorry for any misunderstanding that I have caused.....

Ok, this is the 4th time I tried this. I've done forgot what I wanted to say. I'm glad it showed up again. This was sweet in your funny, kind way. I'm sure Balladeer wouldn't be dishonest by reading this when ya told him not to. Yeah Right! hehehe....

To the top it goes.

I have throughly enjoyed the word war between you and Balladeer. I have tried myself to get in on the fun. I hope I have not offended anyone either with my words. Some of the names I used in my poems were of the people I saw enjoying the fun. It was a way for me to introduce myself as well.

Toe..your work is wonderful and I thankyou for it.

Well, as per your specific instructions, I did not read this entry. I got in contact with Long John, who,I'm told, has a major in gibberish and asked him to read it and translate for me. He called me back and told me that he was unable to do so because there appeared to be words in the message that he had never seen a Toerag use, so he didn't know what to make of it. So I never got the message. Since I am here, however, I would like to take this opportunity to say that since the first day you and your motley crew showed up to harass me, I have never been happier. Your sharp humor and quick wit not only entertain but also keep my creative juices flowing and keep me on my Toes. I wouldn't trade one insult from you for a compliment from almost anyone else and it was a lucky day for all of us when you guys showed up. You have the mind of a fox, the heart of a small puppy and the skin of a rhino....an excellent combination.
So much for this Hallmark moment. Now, what was it you wanted to say?

I felt the need to clarify Balladeer's description, since many people might misunderstand.

"You have the mind of a fox" - This appears to compliment Toerag's cleverness. Do not be mislead! All a fox can think of is treading around in the chickensh*t and how he loves (to) pullet.

"(You have) the heart of a small puppy" - This appears to compliment Toerag's loving nature. Do not be mislead! All a puppy can think of is urinating on the living room carpet, chewing shoes to smithereens, whining for its momma in the middle of the night when everybody else is trying to sleep, and attacking pussies with the singleminded purpose of lapping them with long slimy licks while pretending they are slippers (Belle, Lovey, et al., just cool your jets, ladies).

"(You have) the skin of a rhino" - This appears to compliment Toerag's ability to take a joke as well as he gives one. Do not be mislead! This actually refers to his deplorable lack of hygiene and his need of constant attention from small birds for the express purpose of removing fleas, ticks, and other parasites that routinely find shelter amongst his coarse body hair. Additionally, did I mention his horniness? Well, you get the idea.

If I may be of further assistance in translations, please let me know.

Balladeer cheated, nyah nyah! LOL. He'd NEVER say anything nice about this motley crew unless he KNEW he'd been complimented first! LOL

LJA: You just send that puppy on over here and hush! LOL

Those are fine looking cheeks, sweet Toe... but I wouldn't turn my back on those characters! LOL. Didja see? He's not at all trustworthy... Not only did Balladeer cheat and read something he wasn't supposed to see... he had the unmitigated gall to call me a shrew!!! And after you were so nice to him, too! LOL

Toerag, This is a gem that doesn't belong in the cellar it needs to be in the sunlight reflecting your talent, humor, and advertising abilities to all who missed this the first time.
