Oh my Lord, my Sovereign God
The One with whom the Angel's trod.
I thank you Lord for this one day
As on my knees I bent to pray.

Once again I was weak and down
You lifted me from off the ground.
It seems no matter what I do
You're always there to see me through.

You know each tear I've ever cried
Each single time my hope has died.
Though I slide back and often fall
You stand me upright, straight and tall.

Your shepherds staff you use with love
The rod for what I fall short of.
What would I do without your grace?
I'd never see your loving face.

You always know just what I need
And hear me everytime I plead.
Where would I be without your care?
Alone in darkness and despair.

Methinks you're no longer seeing the glass half-empty on your Life's Menu. *S* I hope so... beautiful poem!

loveit, thank you! sigh

Suthern I'm working my way out of it. This just came to me this morning on the way home from taking the hubby to work. Well part of it did anyway, the rest I had to work at. But I did wake up and thank God this morning. That was a better start than I've had in days.

Dovey

The day will be lost in despair,
The day will be bright and blue,
It will be either stormy or fair,
That choice is left to you.

The day goes on without a care,
For what you need it to be.
It matters not that you are there,
Only what you choose to believe.

You may hang your head in remorse,
Or you may lift your gaze on high.
Either way, you choose your course,
Through your day into the night.

So, since you choose the path you lead,
Why not walk with a lighter stride?
You'll find that when you're spirit's freed,
Everything else will fall in line.

Amen WhtDove. I have been picked up myself by the hand of my savior many times in my life as well. Lean when you need to, he will never let you down.

Thanks LJ. I know it is choice in life. Some days are just harder than others. I was down but the Lord lifted my spirits today. Your right, when the spirit is freed, everything else falls in line. Thank you for your poem!

Marilyn glad to hear it. I lean on Him all the time. I know He never leaves me. Just us who leave Him. Thank you.

D.A. much thanks girl! I appreciate it!

Lost Dreamer thank you. I don't know about footsteps, but we certainly shared something. He touched me as soon as I opened my eyes. He was my first thought. As it should be.

Balladeer it was inspiration. The lines were popping in my head. I couldn't get home fast enough to write them down. The first few anyway.

Alwaye, thank you, thank you!

D I really appreciate! I thank you all so much!

Truly a piece of Heaven's own verse graced upon us by one of His angels. Excellent work, my friend.

Beautiful, WhtDove,
A wonderful poem and prayer.
