I saw today When I logged on, Nine-Ninety-Nine Fine posters strong - Great poets hail From every land - Merely one more Would make a GRAND!! MissMilli joined With FanciNess - She'll be the bane Of NanciNess. One thousand in Just ninety days - This coterie Is Passions' way. Great friends we've made Both near and far, On ICQ And Messenger. How wonderful It is to see Passion's Prolific Poetry. Our thanks that Ron's Digital embrace Has built this great Poetic place. Now let us ask.... If Ron Carnell Can rescue Nan From AOL....??? It was the Million Poet march I swear it's true That many Poets waving their quills Prismatic lances in the night "Shove the blotter!" Their rally cry Puddle stomping in the reflective pool As fires crackled in DC's night sky One Million Poets Chanting and waving Parchment and pen Except for those addicted to keyboards Who waved their 101's in the air Slightly concussing passerbys Confused by the bruhaha Of One Million Poets And if any pundit claims It was only a thousand I'll write something REALLY scathing And post it on the net Alicat the rambling persnikitty |

One thousand members at this site? That seems so much! You sure that's right? In ninety days, it seems absurd! One thousand smithers of the word!! What made them join? What made them post? Could it be something with our host? Just ninety days a thousand strong! All I can say is thank you Ron! |

In the beginning there was one poet whose soul was strong and true he threw open wide his loving arms and then the one was two. Word spread quickly of his place a home for poets to rest and in coming together in passion we’ve surely become the best As we increase in quantity may our quality stay the same without ego, without pretense without glory, without fame A tribute fair to Ron it seems is just a beginning chorus how can we thank him enough for all that he’s done for us Though we cannot make you guru or proclaim you deity Ron, dear friend, we honor you for a home to post our poetry. Oh, but I surely did - I saw another's face; Just seems IRonic now, Not sure who won that race From jetties on the shore Through all the rocks and dunes To seaside restaurants Into the men's restroom..... Great work...great tribute....to a well deserved Ron...... I can only add one thought, To this poem MissMilli brought, There's one mistake, I think she's wrong, She said there's one thousand poets strong. She's really only off by one, And that's really not that bad, There's only nine-hundred-ninety nine, And one damned old Toerag! |

Onward, we shall defeat our oppressers.. Oh, wrong piece.. Wow, when Netpoets stick together they can accomplish anything.. I wish that I got the chance to see you in DC, but that's not going to happen this year.. the Netpoets will just have to hold another DC trip for all of the new people that we have here.. Nan, AOL is an addiction.. Don't get sucked in.. One thousand strong.. I remember when this forum was put up.. I hope that we stay this strong..
