Memories come and memories go,
But one has always stayed.
Thoes brief moments spent with him,
Somehow just won't fade.

I keep searching, for a way
To occupy my mind.
To absorb myself in other things,
and leave thoes memories behind.

But some how I can't forget,
I seem to loose control.
Then I become consumed,
of a memory, that's so bold.

At least I have the memories,
To cherish and to hold.
My love was not returned,
So it's locked within my soul.

It only hurts for a little while,
To think what could have been.
But then I sigh and carry on,
As memories seep in again.

Memories come and memories go,
But one will always be.
And that's the one of, my love,
It's my favorite memory.

Beautiful, Kitty**. I wholeheartedly agree that sometimes you can't let go of your memories-or they can't let go of you. It's also good that you know not to dwell on them.
