I seek the inner sanctum
...to bridge the wide abyss,
In search of my forever,
...eternal happiness.

What pathways must I journey,
...what travels must I take,
So when I see the glory,
...its joys I can partake?

I live in expectation,
...Hoping I will find,
Final destination,
...eternal peace of mind.

Rivers flowing gently,
...across the rolling plain,
I drift upon the current,
...I hear the wind's refrain.

As summer turns to autumn,
...portending days to come,
I walk amongst the falling leaves,
...what has my life become?

My journey soon is over,
...I seek the setting sun,
Adrift upon the current,
...The river, it has won.
