I'm lost in thought, again, I see
...Another mem'ry calling me;
I gently slip...into the past
...I'll be right back; I'll be real fast!

I linger there...perhaps too long
But can't you hear that lovely song?
How can I leave before it's done?
That soothing strain has just begun!

What's that you say...it's time to go?
There's work to do...of course...I know
You go ahead...I'll be along;
I need to hear just one more song!

...Another lovely melody
...Another mem'ry calling me!

Lost in thought, I never, ever want to return to today-I too want to hear "just one more song!" I found this poem to be well written with excellent rhyme and meter.

Denise, there is not enough of your words to read of late, but at least I know where to find them when I want them   This memory twigger I sure identify with.

Denise~

Lovely right from the get go ... always~
Aren't the archives a fun place to find a friend and reflect on their beauty ?
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL dearest friend~

For those who might not be aware, Denise's home computer is 'sick' ... and she can't access us from her workplace ... but, she is thinking of us~

Mind if I linger there too. What a wonderful write. You've been good a long time I see.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
