From Dusk to Dawn

Soft voice, anguished eyes
Pleasant smile, but it lies.

Emotions locked deep inside,
I can see the pain you hide.

I pray for strength to find the key:
To be the one who sets you free.

I need the words to reach your soul.
Feel my love, it can make you whole.

There’s no need to keep it in.
I see the tears you hide within.

Get it out, let them flow
Only then will peace you know.

Let me assist you with this task.
I’ll help you remove your mask.

It hides a face I love so well
Come out of hiding, leave your hell.

Soon the twilight will be gone.
It’s always darkest before the dawn.

Step with me into the light.
Bring the day into your night.

Feel the warmth of the rising sun
Be at peace, you have won.

I very much wish for the peace you describe. 'Twould truly be a pleasure to feel such.

The flow and rhyme are excellent! It's a wonderful poem to someone you really care about (stating the obvious here) and I really liked it! Thanks Tara!
