Many people die by me; they do not
curse me, thinking some
distant object

more sweeping, less reaching
hardly breathing
thing

has touched them. I do not speak like a
bush of sexy flame or
crumbling stone

but am too soft, too strong for them
to feel the pull.
My sound so

closely echoes in their tiny ears
they think they hear
blood of theirs.
