I learned to fear the darkness
After a lifetime in its heat
Then nowhere to go but out
Now I feel so incomplete

God had finished forming me
Angels touch upon my lip
And hateful fateful darkness
Loosens hold untimely grip

I reach for plastic faces
A force of anger and of fright
For I have lived a lifetime
Never shown against the light

I'm cold in this frosty air
Wrapped in blankets I feel blank
Darkness' first disappointment
For many more I'll have to thank

Challenge met, you won game, set, and match.
