To My Husband, Now and Always

You really do not know what you mean to me,
how I value your love, your trust, your integrity.
When I first met you, we were at arm’s length,
I was mixed up, confused, you were a tower of strength.

Time went by, we quickly fell “in like” a lot;
love followed swiftly, then a date set, a ring bought.
We have literally been through thick and thin,
and with you, I would do it all over again.

Of course we have our vast and changing differences,
but as a pair we are great, and we quickly mend torn fences.
I’m complex, you’re informed, that’s what I like about you,
nothing really keeps us apart, we make a splendid duo.

I can start a sentence, you can and do finish it just fine;
do we have shared ESP, or simply one collective mind?
You have a talent for visual art, I’m somewhat into poetry;
at this, I really like what you do, but you have no insight of me.

So to the ‘net I’ve gone, to share my mind in words,
and sometimes I have to get beyond what you call “just absurd.”
But that’s all right, as I understand wicked Jealousy’s wink
‘cause darling, you have my soul, the Forum just makes me think.

You've brought a big smile to my face, again.
I hope he liked it as much as I did. Two halfs do make a whole.

Traveler, keep smiling! More to come.

Seymour, he doesn't have a rhyming bone in his body.

Lorelei, practice, practice, practice.

Thank you all for your comments!
