The Last Petal

Sleeping on a pillow of indecision
your dreams have sound…
A daisy's petals fall as you hear her voice
he loves me…he loves me not
he loves me…he loves me not
Your body turns in the sheets but
you cannot escape as she picks up
another flower and starts to cry
Daisy petals run from her eyes and
float away like white butterflies
The last petal torn, she's to make your choice
your eyes flutter open and you can't hear
her voice but the sing-song melody stays
in your head like the ticking of a clock
he loves me…he loves me not
he loves me…he loves me not
and you wonder what the last petal wrought
