i bought a gun today
to protect my share
i don't believe in violence
but i need to be prepared

i took my first lessons
i caught on rather fast
and now i'm waiting
for someone to trespass

i have an itchy finger
i have a need to fire the gun
i don't like to hunt
so i'll think of something fun

i'll test out my aim
on a lesser socital member
but i fired and missed
and killed an innocent bystandard

now i'm in the wrong
and have learned a vital lesson
lives can be shattered
by the purchase of a weapon

It is not the purchase of the gun. It depends upon how responsible the person who is holding it is.

When children are "raised", they don't feel a need to "protect" everything. If someone wants everything I have.. they can HAVE IT!

The problem is, most children aren't "raised" anymore, they
just get older.... (sigh)

I'm not actually "against" the purchase of a gun but I believe it should be for a good use. Like hunting and such. Because sometimes people use it for the wrong reasons or someone gets a hold of it and uses it for a wrong reason, so keep your guns in a safe place: LOCKED UP!

what you have written is so sadly true, people purchace guns and wind up useing them on their fellow man. what is especially sad is that most of the time when they are use in that manner it is over small petty things that do not require the shedding of blood or the loss of life. you are correct that guns should be locked up, they should also be treated with the utmost respect because of their deadly potential. great piece of work.
