they come at me from every angle
thoughts
ideas
images.
write ME!
NO, ME!
NO, ME FIRST!
How to keep them straight
so many
clogging my brain
stifling.
so many
so many
my pen hesitates.....
then is a blurrrrr across the page.

I can relate to this! I will have a thought, write it down, save it as a word document and go back later to expand on it...some get deleted, others become poetry. My mind is always going, even now as I type this, my next poem is forming...does that make me a split personality? Actually I am! I agree! WE are!

Gets pretty noisy don't it?? hahaha
Everyone wonders why my handwriting is so sloppy, they wouldn't believe me if I told them my mind moves faster than my pen.(grin)

fantastic! I think from what I've read most people at this site would share that experience. It's a pity, though, that we don't get enough time to put down everything we might think of. I know I sometimes have these inspired ideas that just seem to melt away and I look at them where I've scribbled them days ago and I think 'what the hell was that?' Wouldn't it be great if everyone got say a year in their life to do whatever they wanted, write poetry or whatever, with everyone else paying for them and taking their turn too? Wouldn't it be great if we never slept? I could write every night for eight hours and go to work afterwards. Or if we had some sort of gadget where our thoughts got transferred immediately into language; couldn't we then write down every idea we get? Wouldn't it be wonderful?
