SPRING IS SWELLING SLOWLY TOWARDS
A RELENTLESS SUMMER HEAT.
IN ONLY DAYS, THE WORLD WILL WISH
FOR COOL WINDS AND SNOW DRIFTS.
BUT NOW, AS THE SUN HALF HIDES ABOVE
A DOZEN SOLID OAK TREES,
MARUICE PUSHES A BABY SWING IN THE PARK.

A QUIET BREEZE CARRIES A WARMTH THAT MANAGED
TO SLIP THROUGH THE SHADOWS BELOW.
MARUICE, AWAY FROM THE OTHERS, REMOVED FROM
THE STIGMA OF THE LARGE BLUE VAN,
PUSHES THE EMPTY BABY SWING WITH PRIDE
AND STARES DOWN IN NURTURING WONDER
AT THE PRECIOUS CHILD HE WILL NEVER HAVE.

------------------
God is seen always in a child's eyes
