I was destined to know you
My bright star
I saw something in your eyes from afar
Without realizing... you told me
This is my destiny

From that day forward
I looked deeply into your eyes
For you had a message for me
I had to uncover the hidden lies

For my true self has been uncovered
Deeply from your eyes
Which I used as a mirror
To merge from my disguise

An angel sent from another time
Sent to wrap your wings around me
To help me fly swiftly
Through my chosen path

The brilliance of your nature
Surrounds my mind
An outstanding feature
Easy to find

You have touched my soul
And I'll never let you go
My spirit will lay beside you
As you lay yourself to sleep

Thank you...My Bright Star

This is absolutely beautiful, Dark Angel - can't let it slip away unnoticed. I love the line - "Sent to wrap your wings around me"

Seymour...Thank you so much for your lovely comment.
This poem was actually written for my best friend Giulia, who helped me come out of my shell and realise exactly who I was and still am.

This is a very beautiful poem, Dark Angel... Very honest, very heart-felt... I enjoyed it very much!
