Don't shun me if I have a brain
You wouldn't like it done to you
Loneliness can cause such pain
A genius has feelings too

Don't laugh at me if I'm not bright
You wouldn't laugh if it were you
Cruel laughter's just not right
An idiot has feelings too

Don't point at me if I am lame
You wouldn't point if it were you
Inside this shell I'm just the same
An invalid has feelings too

Don't hate me if my skin's not white
Inside this hide I'm just like you
And if you hate me I will fight
We coloured men have feelings too

Be kind to all who live on earth
It's not so very hard to do
Give of your joy, your love, your mirth
And show that you have feelings too
