The emptiness I feel inside is causing me to die.
A slow slow death, like a flower withering in the seering sun.
It tries and tries to withstand the heat-always feeling like giving up.
After hours of pain the sun leaves-in it's place comes the moon.
Shining bright-bringing relief from the painful day.
A calm surrender surrounds the flower, finally at peace.
Only to wake in the morning once again.

How very sad, Christina - and flowers are such beautiful things. I hope you get some life-giving water here at Open Poetry.
