Like a strong wind you came with such force;
Only then to realize a minute later that you've gone.
Like a well polished silver, you shine with such brightness;
Still to become tarnished and rusted, never to be used again.

But could the wind be held within a grasp?
And could the shine be kept from being tarnished forever?

You know the wind when you've felt the breeze,
You know there's shine when you've seen the light.
But must you die to prove to us that there's life?
Must you always choose the bad side to prove that there's a good?
From the place where you are now, look and see all that you've left behind.

You've proved yourself once more... and for the last time.
A boy so brave but yet so weak,
Someone so happy but yet so sad,
You've lived with a mask placed on everything, a barrier on each side.
And you chose to keep the mask on and the barriers up, keeping all that who cared away.

Like the wind you couldn't be held,
And like the shine you couldn't be saved.

I second that emotion. I would love to know the story behind the poem. Warm welcome to you.
