Just thought I would let you all know, I will be picking Graham( writer of timepiece and trained to smile) up at the Nashville airport tomorrow evening for a 9 day stay!
All the way from England, no less.

We're gonna work on songs and poems.
We've been co-writing over the net since February so I'm very excited.

So as a note to all of you out there who think you will never meet the person you write to and connect with so often.

Well, all I can say is, wishes do come true!

Maybe you will see a joint effort posted.

(smile).. have fun!

Ok details?? mmm.. let's see.

We met online in February of last year, when he posted a request in the songwriter bulletin board asking for a ryming (never could spell it) dictionary.

So I sent him a "phrase finder". Then e-mail after e-mail later.. we moved to chat and. became fast friends, and co-writers.

He has been to florida, but not anywhere else in the U.S., so I feel pretty strange introducing him to Southern Tennessee. (I'm from MN ). hahah

We have co-writer several songs together and made one fantastic demo (which i'm putting the vocals on next week). So.. wish us luck on that!. (the song is called "Pray for Rain")

When I get my homepage back in shape I will post a link and you can all come listen and give your critique.

I'm taking him to Mammoth Cave, and 2nd Avenue, Nashville, and a few other places.

He's never had a snow cone, or seen fireflies (that was a biggy) and certainly never had biscuits and gravy (heheh what's that??)..

But I will let you all know of our adventures.. as I said, we will post a mutual co-written poem, of two ppl meeting across the ocean.

thank you for being interested.!

I'm so excited and nervous and I feel like a 5 year old waiting for christmas!!

I always loved being on stage, (when I used to do gigs). but.. this is so much more un-nerving.

And the butterflies in my stomach.. are the most welcome feeling!!!!!

xoxoxoxo til later ... love Red

That's fantastic....Hope you both have a great time....While you're runnin' up there 'round Harding Place to the Airport.....take him to Corky's Barbecue.....just off of I-65 just south of the Harding Place exit...it's superb!....Tell him is ain't "Toad in the Hole" but it's pretty good! (Toad in the hole is a British dish with sausage and pudding......Rainbowgal told me about it....and I've teased her about it ever since.....

I met Suthern....and had a great time just talking.....though our meeting was only a couple of hours....it went superbly! (Now when I went to the motel's front desk to get her room number, they had to call up to her room before they would give it to me of course, and when the lady asked my name and I had to reply "Mr. Toerag"....it did bring about some very strange looks).....LOL...

I've been writing to someone for three years - we met on a chat page about cancer when both our husbands were ill. She's coming over here in September - it's a very odd feeling, in one way you know someone very well, but in fact you have never seen them. I'm looking forward to it, and desperately hoping that we hit it off as well in person as we did on line.

And I was still laughing over that poor desk clerk's consternation when I opened the door... so there wasn't any of the awkward moments I'd feared. Hours flew by in nanoseconds... a wonderful meeting with an incredible man!

And before I met Toerag, I'd met a couple of online female friends... one for a few hours and one for a few days... All of my online meeting experiences have been great!

Good luck and good writing!

I won't say another word.. didn't mean to offend anyone......
I.. I... oh well.. I was just trying to fit in.
I'm so embarrassed.. ( needless to say, humiliated.. but, guess my welcome here is up.
