The lake now lies still,
beyond the moonlight,
so evil so corrupt,
it swallowed my love,
as i stood on the bank,
worthless and vunerable,
the sun gives me no comfort,
cant hide the past,
cant burn my eyes,
i see her eternally in my mind,
so close but always far away,
lost in the pain of watery dread,
i would take her place among the swampy shore,
im lost without my light,
if only god would end my plight
