Deep night air, cool and crisp
hugging myself to keep warm
wishing I stayed at home
in front of the fire.

Left early this morn
to walk away my troubles.
Didn't pay attention
to where I was goin'
as long it was away.

In the woods I marched
in the afternoon air
through briars and bogs
not a soul around,
found some berries; red
as sin and firey in the stomach.

Let me sit a spell...
...when I awoke
'neath
a layer of Leaves
how strange it should be
I
cannot move
as if bound to this spot.

This will go away with the coming
of the morning sun I thought.

The full Moon
as if silver refined, polished
announced its arrival
over yonder mountains
close
very close.
Its silvery light illuminated
the forest roundabout.

Out of the circle of Trees
She came
highlighted
in the silver light of the Moon.
A Goddess
of the Night
of the Forest.
Robed in thin white
delicate,
Tall, graceful, exquiste
in all her womanly
ways.
Long golden flowing hair
shimmering
in the cold light,
Eyes
that spoke of Life,
Lips
that would bring life back
to the dead.
What she wore swirled
'round her as she
danced, twirled.

Amazing
the moves she made
how
I don't know.

Does she see me? Does she know
I'm right here?
Front row seat.
Round and round she went, I am
glued to the spot
a show just for me....

Evocative, graceful, awesome poem! Do you think strawberries would suffice?

Cranberries never did that for me, they just give me gas!! Yours must have been spiked with Viagra....!! LOL

Youse guys are a crazy lot.
What woods did you walk in? No, try mixing strawberries with watermelon seeds. That'll do wonders for ya.
