Don’t break that mirror!
Watch out for that black cat
and whatever you do!
Hang up your hat!

Don’t spill the salt
for if you do
you’ll have to throw it
over a shoulder or two

Unlucky number
thirteen today
don’t wear black
Be careful what you say!

Superstition springs
in furtive glances
but just in case
I’m not taking any chances!

As it so happens every couple of years, my wife's birthday falls on Friday the 13th. Today is the day. Good luck / bad luck? That she's celebrating another year is better than the alternative I say. Today's payday - that's a good thing. I go on vacation for a week starting at five o'clock - another good thing! My boss will start two weeks vacation upon my return - another good thing. All in all, not a bad day in my book. Am I tempting fate? You're damn right - and I'm wearing black too.

Fitting for the day. Odd, but I seemed to get quite a lot accomplished today. And for some strange reason today I wore black too.
Haven't done that since winter time...
Nice poem!

That day is passed it's number fourteen
it's time for that cat to leave this scene
we're headed for the end of summer
back to school, it's really a bummer
unless you are all like me
over 18 and living free!

Enjoyed the poem, the read delicious...
But yet I waited 'til the next day.
I don't think I'm superstitious...
Dunno, perhaps I'm silly that way.
