Purgatorial Incarceration

(As a side note, I'd like everyone to notice that I am no longer a "new" member...ahem... so in honor of this prodigious occasion, I'd like to share a little poem I wrote when I realized I first found love.)

Bright sunshine of my life,
it dawns over 'yon horizon.
A love unknown 'til now,
hope breaks on nearby beach.
Closer it comes closerclosercloser,
the realization awakened in me.
Love, my love, love...
All there is,
All I need.
Forever-
Too near.
No time is enough.
A way to win, span mortal bounds?
Try we must.
For we have something special,
so intolerably true.
Hearts melded, joined as one.
Bonded like none before.
With you I share,
Now and tomorrow.
My love,
your love,
our love...
Eternity together.

(gimme a break if it's a bit wierd, I'm not used to writing things so bright and cheering. Usually I reserve my confusing text for the darker side of life!)

Since you are no longer a 'new member', we can stop being nice to you. I liked this one, admire the way you wrote it - you definitely have a 'sweeter' side!

Oh Christopher, you make me sigh - I remember how it feels to be vulnerable when handing your heart to someone else...very darn scary! This brought it all back to me, so very vivid because of your tone & mood....I'm such an old "prickly pear" now that I'm nearly 100% stone, sometimes it's hard to remember things like this....(sigh again) Thank you for the trip down Christopher Lane...

Lovely! I agree - no time is enough. You have quite the distinctive style dear... and it doesn't need to be dark!
