Unraveling of spirit
I let you through my door.
I stripped myself to the bone
To consumed; the newness I adore.

Ashamed of what I abandoned,
Overwhelmed with desire.
You gave me a reason
To put myself in this fire.

Now I burn in a viscious flame.
Terrified of what I may destroy.
My body screams out in pain
Melting away until all I am is shame.

Let me go home now
Tell me you don't need me.
Give me back some reason
Unleash my sanity.

There is no completeness
To this endless fantasy.
No room in my life
For this heart wrenching ecstacy.
