Love
was good
then gone quickly
too soon, too poignant.
How had fifty years passed?
He was always mine,
I was his.
No more.
Alone.

How sweet and sad this is. So few words and I was moved. Made me think of my grandmother who lost her husband a couple of years ago. She seems to have shrunk into herself, yet somehow become softer. Weird. Death - the taboo topic, is pretty scary, when you REALLY think about it.

Thank you for your comments, Severn and Delores. I tried to simply relate love/life in a very short synopsis of words.

No wasted words to cramp the imagination here, sad and questioning.
