Benjamin Franklin Drive
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Where limo's stretch around a circle
and palm's are draped toward the sun
All it took was hearts and thunder
A little magic has just begun
Faces in a jewellers window
find the diamonds in their eyes
then weather talk, a little walk
while heavy clouds are rising high
In a place where sunsets melt into the ocean
and the evening thunder air's electrified
two young hearts begin a new commotion
If you let them all your dreams can come alive
when lightning strikes on Benjamin Franklin Drive
Where elegance is twilight browsing
gentle music soothes the soul
our couple find themselves embracing
as the snow-white horse-drawn carriage rolls
twice around the circle slowly
down the hotel boulevard
the sky like daylight echoes thunder
as love is sealed into their hearts
In a place where sunsets melt into the ocean
and the evening thunder air's electrified
two young hearts begin a new commotion
If you let them all your dreams can come alive
when lightning strikes on Benjamin Franklin Drive
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Graham, you have a way of weaving an atmosphere that one can almost taste on the tip of the tongue. Another excellent poem

Ohhhhh.. myyyy.. could I please come with you??...

The imagery you weave is of such...
mmm... such.. things that dreams are made of...

what a wonderful place that was to visit.
Thank you for taking me there..!

I love the way you write off the tip of your mind, sharply.. but softly..

How do you do that??

Well, I suppose I will have to put you on my 'must read' list.

Nice work.

Was this from real life? Your wedding perhaps? It was wonderful! I saw the sunset melt into that ocean but never thought of it that way till now. Very good writing!

Real life??
What's that?
Sorry...I live in an imaginary world..haha.

Seriously, the place exists..I was there on
vaction a couple of months ago. I saw the romantic side of it and had to write. The horse drawn carriage is real too! The characters are from my other world though......sorry to disappoint!

Hi PS,
Go to Sarasota, Florida, and head for Lido Key. Can't miss this place.

Have fun,
Graham.
