I finally find
a match to fit
my checklist in
Romance...
He's everything
I want & need
except he does
not dance !!
Now how can I
convince him that
he needs me in
his life ?
He's always stood
so strong alone -
his past contains
his strife...
I'm convinced that
he's my savior -
the sailor for
my sea...
He's the lighthouse
on my shoreline
that beckons, calls
to me.
For years I've raged
and tossed & churned -
my tide out of
control...
I've damaged all
within my wake
for this I pay
with soul.
I promise not
to hurt this man
he brings peace to
my storm.
He shines on me
my waters calm -
I sparkle with
sun, warm....

Femme, this is wonderful work. The scheme is good, the flow great and the words and meaning clear. That vacation was good, huh?

I like this very much!!! And if you find a way to persuade your sunshine that he needs you, too... would you share your secret? *G*

You bet Suthern....what is it about men that they don't NEED us.....I want someone that NEEDS me - you know, not hanging on me all the time as if incapible, but it's nice to know they gotta have you....! (pulling my hair out in frustration)

i couldn't agree with you more...it's not that men have to become excruciatingly needy that they need you to match their socks... but it sure is nice to know that they couldn't live without your love...great poem...
