When you feel emotion well up in your eyes
Don't try to hold it back, let out a good cry
Never shy or look away just look in to their eyes
For its a part of our emotion that tears fall from our eyes
Don't ever try to change you, don't ever hold it back
Holding back to someone, is giving up the slack
Just place your arms around it, and never feel your weak
Tears are only weakness if you don't let them speak
So let the rain fall on now, tomorrow they may be dry
Get your self a cucumber place slices on your eyes
And do not shy away from letting people see
Cause eyes all, red and swollen, are flags of tears set free
The next time you see someone with eye's all red and puffed
Your heart will sink inside you, as you know they've had enough
So give the thumbs up to them and offer up a smile
For they emptied their emotions, for just a little while
They need to feel your with them as every smile you give
Will replenish there emotions as they sort it in their head
Their eye's will start to clear up the swelling will go down
As they will come out victorious, with the breath of peace they've found

Didn't mean to baffle you suthern..
just want to point out that tears are very much a part of what we have to say .. so it they are there let them flow...don't try to hide them thinking that by doing so we are braver, smarter or make more since..... and giving a pat on the back to someone who is crying or has cried... letting them know its ok to shed them old tears... they will feel better in the end.... oops guess I didn't put it clearly.. no bother .. I sometimes confuse myself as well..:-) maybe I should re-think this one. ?
Thanks for the input.. I'll work in it..

I don't think you should change it at all. It was very clear. Very truthful.
You have done a fantastic job! I loved IT!!!
Too many times we try to hold it in.

Speaking for myself I find crying a particularly difficult thing to do. My boyfriend tries to get me to cry sometimes, when I'm unhappy, just to get it out! Tch tch - how does one cry, when one wants to? I often find that my poetry can be my tears.

You have quite a refreshing poem here, tori. It's the feeling you get as your washing your face after a good cry. Thanks for such a beautiful reminder for us all.

You are absolutely right, of course, but crying still won't make the pain go away, and sympathy can sometimes make it worse.

Boo Hoo.......but I still cannot show my emotions for I want others to think I am strong! I wish I could let out my sadness but who would really care? Wonderful that you can express yourself, some people can and some cannot.
