You fill me with wonder
sorrow
and marvel:

an odd combination
that nevertheless,
increases with time.

And I circle around you
like a planet out of orbit-

Riding the tails of comets
to catch a glimpse of your heart.

But still you remain a mystery-
a book with missing pages
that has me dying to know the end...

and the cold sweat
that breaks
across my palm when we touch
is foreplay:
a hint of the fire
that consumes the host.

You break my heart on a daily basis.

And yet you mend it
with the charm
that's locked in your smile.

I really liked this! I think we have all felt this way about someone! I don't like books with missing pages so I read the end first to find out what happens!

Thanks everyone- it's so nice to hear positive feedback after a few weeks of heartbreaking writer's block. Bless you.
