And the evening and the morning wandered out to play
Startling all creation in the middle of the day
For the evening wanted dusk and the morning wanted dawn
And the blending of their wishes made their wishes seems as one.
Cause the stars twinkled slightly as when dusk begins to fall
Or the sun peeks o're the treetops as the larks start to call.
Then I caught a glimpse of heaven on that most peculiar day
When the evening and the morning wandered out to play.
Cause the sunset and the sunrise made a most unusual light
To shine upon the heaven where there is no day or night
And the rivers and the forests reflected shades of gold
Twas like a land of make believe - the land where none grow old.
Then in sudden realization of what I had seen and done
The evening and the morning separated from their one
And left to go their separate paths to 'wait the end of day.
For I'd seen what only gods should see when they ventured out to play.

I'm struck by both the beauty and the emotion and can only imagine the images behind your thoughts :-)

I would have been proud to have written this one. Terrific, terrific work. I knew SOMEBODY in that new group had to have talent!

I don't see the silliness... This is one of the best poems I've ever read! I loved the way the visual image flowed from your hand into my brain!
Magnificent!

Toerag: There was never a doubt in my mind that 'Deer was referring to you when he talked of someone in the group having talent! *G* It certainly wasn't the sailor! LOL. Thank you for the bouquets, sweets... your support means the world to me!

Thank you all for the kind words... they're greatly appreciated!
