Oh where for art thou, Balladeer
I have not seen new verses here.
I come to look ten times a day
but you have not a word to say.
You only comment on the poems
so to the archives I must roam.
To find a silly verse from you
a funny twisted poem or two.
Is your problem writers block?
The words it seems you can’t unlock?
We’d even take the worst you’ve got.
And from you ‘Deer can’t be a lot.
But just to see you post some lines.
Would help me through these troubled times.
I know on you I mustn’t brag.
But all my friends to here I drag.
To read a poem from my ‘Deer friend.
Now where am I supposed to send.
Now that your postings seem to lag.
I guess I’ll tell them read Toerag.

Lucie: They'd still be in for a treat! LOL. But if you're the one dragging Balladeer's poems from the archives, I owe you my thanks!

I love to laugh and Balladeer and Toerag seem to do the trick these days.... I want everyone to see humor through their words.

I'm pulling this to the top you see.
to quote a friend who said to me.
"That Balladeer sure makes me smile,
and Toerag has the cutest style."
"But its all the great poems that I read,
that bring me to Passions in Poetry."

OK, dear Luce, I get the point.
With gals like you around this joint
I'd be a silly, foolish lout
To let you 'deer friends go without.

I will strive with renewed vigor
To load my pen and pull the trigger
And hit the target when I can
For such a wondrous friend and fan.

I'll write until my arms give out
Until the page is almost full
And, hopefully bring pleasure to
A lady so insatiable.
