Its been way to long my love
I wonder, will we ever see each again
At night I watch the stars above
And think about you special friend
I wonder what you are doing How you’re feeling
If you still love me
My senses reeling
but , I know
I’ll always be with you
You have set into my heart
And there you’ll be forever
And although we are apart
I’ll forget you – never

I know the feeling well, and I sympathize.

my boyfreind is off in the army and your poems are really holding me up. I want to share a quote that my boyfriend and i love so much. "If love was a dove, set it free, if it comes back it was meant to be. If it doesn't, then it was never yours to begin with." I don't know the author.

Dark Angel

Nice variance on the lines, and the message was crafted very well. I enjoyed it.

Miriam - that quote goes at least back to the 60's, and probably a lot farther than that. A variance is,
"If love was a dove, set it free. If it comes back it was meant to be. If it doesn't, then hunt it down and kill it."
