the world turns, the clock ticks on
they say time heals
spring comes when winter's gone
time heals

we lived, we laughed, and, so we thought
those days were here to stay
but time ran out and like a thief
time stole your health away

the world turns, the clock ticks on
they say time heals
spring comes when winter's gone
time heals

the sickness grew, the pain got worse
you struggled every day
but time went by inexorably
and took your strength away

the world turns, the clock ticks on
they say time heals
spring comes when winter's gone
time heals

time came you had to leave this world
your days had been so few
now every hour the distance grows
that separates me from you

the world turns, the clock ticks on
they say time heals
spring comes when winter's gone
time heals

the years will pass, life will go on
if what they say is true
and time will take away from me
the memory of you, too

the world turns, the clock ticks on
I say time steals
spring comes when winter's gone
time steals

Sad, but nicely done. I like the format you chose to use with this one.
