Darkness fell and the night was clear,
but nothing filled that pang of fear.
For he had left in a state of anger,
looking for excitement and danger.

Her heart was heavy from words they said,
which now thought over ached in her head.
Though they were true and very well spoken,
he'd flared from the truth his heart truly broken.

"You love me no more!" she screamed with hate
"Another you loved and now its too late!"
"Forgive you?" she wailed "Never tis true,
for my love was faithful, and only for you!"

And as he drove off
and silence took over.
She returned to her bedroom,
and her once-a-week lover.
