Purgatorial Incarceration

I gaze into your eyes,
a closeness so far away.
Draw nearer, so I can see.
No good.
I am still blinded by the beauty-
of you.
What do you see in me,
when you gaze with your heart?
I wonder.
Do you see me as I am, was?
Will be?
For you!
Perhaps the truth will remain hidden,
secreted behind the veil of my own eyes.
Locked away, awaiting only a tender touch.
Is it you?
Will it ever be you?
Or will I remain closed,
allowed only,
the seeping leakage of feeling?
Emotions unknown, begin to burrow -
into my heart.
I must force them down.
Oh will I ever be,
set free?
Yes, I must,
for there is justice in this life.
Here, my love.
I give you the key.
Do what you will, my heart is yours.

I like this a lot. "A closeness so far away." Good line! I look forward to reading more from you.
