This morning, I awoke and cradled you in my arms.
I held you, my soft, sweet, bundle of joy.
I was mesmorized by your innocent charms.
My precious, precious baby boy.

This afternoon, you tied your shoes...completely by yourself!
Son, I was so proud of you.
I took a picture and placed it on the shelf,
as I have always have with each new thing you do.

This evening, you stood up to graduate
and I cried softly, all tears of pride.
Though maybe you've grown, it's not too late
to keep calling you "my baby" deep inside.

Tonight, before I fall asleep,
You will make this One your wife.
You will continue building this families' keep.
Thank You, Son, for giving me this happy, full-filled life.

Very touching, love. You captured the way I feel at least.

I truly understand the sentiment. Although mine are but three and four, it seems like only yesterday they first came into this world. And the memories and traditions they have created are to numerous to count. I couldn't imagine life without them.

Wow, wonderful!! It kind of gives me a picture of what my parents seem to be going through by letting my brother and I grow up. Thanks for sharing.

One .... You've have manage to take our conversation and place it in to eloquent words describing the feeling's of wonderful memories , I have felt through the years
My friend, I can't thank you enough for such an honor to have you dedicate this beautiful poem that has been my life.... in a blink of an eye...
I am humbled... Thank you

Tori: You are more than welcome! Anytime, my friend!

And Sally: I thank God for my children, too. It's something we all should do.
