dont touch me,
that softly,
it burns through my skin,
like a fire,
untamable.

dont kiss me,
that sweetly,
it moves my soul,
thick flowing like a river,
into your arms,
unscapable.

dont promise me,
it silently whispers,
youll be here forever,
in my embrace,
enchanting me,
with everything left unsiad,
a moment,
irreplacable.

dont dream of me,
eventually dreams fade,
like long gone i love yous,
across my skin,
with such a steady glance,
as you turned to walk away,
that pain,
unforgettable.

dont leave me,
my soul drians in your goodbyes,
my body aches without your touch,
kissing my eyes softly you assure,
ill see you agian soon,
living without you,
impossible.

dont let me love you this much,
it makes me vulnerable,
to every move you make,
everything you say,
in my eyes a forever built,
soley with you,
and you share my convictions,
of loving blindly agian,
of putting fear aside this time,
to truly fall in love,
to ever regret this,
unimaginable.

WOw.....this is a very stronbgly emotional poem. It is hard to not use those self proctection mechanisims when we have been hurt before and know we can be hurt again. But love, like life itself is a chance we have to take.

Excellent! Something that I'm sure we can all relate to at one time or another in our life. Thanks for sharing.
